Great news recently came from the Paris headquarters of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI): Shiptec China has officially received UFI's authoritative certification. Meanwhile, its organizer, Dalian Xinghai Exhibitions Co., Ltd., has also successfully become a UFI member. This milestone achievement marks the Dalian International Maritime Exhibition's entry into the ranks of world-class professional exhibitions. It further consolidates Dalian's core position in the maritime exhibition sector in Northeast Asia, injecting new momentum into the city's goal of becoming a renowned exhibition hub in Northeast Asia.

As the sole authoritative organization in the global exhibition industry witha history spanning nearly a century, UFI certification is widely regarded as the "gold standard" in the international exhibition sector. The certification process is highly rigorous, setting stringent thresholds for exhibition scale, internationalization, industry influence, and operational compliance. Out of tens of thousands of exhibitions in China, only a little over a hundred have earned this prestigious recognition, making it exceptionally valuable. This certification serves as a strong testament from the global exhibition community to the exhibition's organizational strength and international operational standards.
Founded in 1992,Shiptec China( the Dalian International Maritime Exhibition) has grown over more than three decades into a leading, highly specialized, and influential maritime industry event in Northeast Asia, having won numerous national and provincial awards. Leveraging Dalian's strategic geographic location and robust maritime industry advantages, the exhibition focuses on the entire industry chain, including shipbuilding, marine engineering equipment, and port & shipping logistics. It has established itself as a vital platform for domestic and international economic and trade matchmaking, technological exchange, and resource sharing, acting as a crucial link between domestic and global maritime markets and continuously driving the coordinated development of the Northeast Asian maritime industry.
Scheduled to take place from October 28 to 30, 2026, the 17th China Dalian International Maritime Exhibition will be the first edition held under the UFI certification. Hosted at the Dalian World Expo center, the event will be themed " Navigation with Green Intelligence, Co-creating A Deep Blue Future," focusing on the green, low-carbon, and smart transformation of the maritime industry. The exhibition will cover an area of 28,000 square meters, featuring 1,200 standard booths, divided into ten specialized zones to comprehensively showcase cutting-edge technologies, equipment, and innovative achievements in the maritime sector.
During the event, over 20 supporting forums, thematic seminars, and business matchmaking activities will be held. These events will cover various fields, including marine engineering equipment, marine equipment innovation, shipping finance, international business cooperation, and talent exchange, bringing together industry experts, corporate leaders, and professional buyers to explore development opportunities together.
