大家好!我是来自爱达·魔都号(Adora Magic City)豪华邮轮的二管轮——汪前权,很荣幸能够在中国首艘国产大型豪华邮轮上工作。
爱达·魔都号全长323.6米,总吨位为13.55万总吨,有24层楼高,2125间客房,最多可载乘客5246名。她的名字既体现了上海制造的身份,又凸显了首艘国产大型邮轮在产品设计、艺术设计、体验设计上的追求。船上有14个不同风格口味的餐厅,多个免税店、健身房、棋牌室、大剧院、迷你高尔夫球场、篮球场、游戏房、儿童乐园、室内泳池、水疗中心等各类休闲娱乐设施,完全称得上“海上五星级酒店”。
作为中国籍高级船员,在首艘中国国产大型豪华邮轮上工作的感受如何?
作为首艘国产大型豪华邮轮上的海事部门首位高级中国籍船员,我感到无比荣幸和骄傲。在这里首先要感谢哥仑比亚集团以及森海公司给我提供的优秀平台,还有兄弟们的大力支持。虽然整个轮机部75名船员中只有三个中国籍和一个瑞典籍华人,但是我们凭借自身的努力以及过硬技术,很快就融入到了这个大团队。相信在不久会有越来越多的中国船员加入到这个大家庭。
您在爱达·魔都号上印象深刻的事情有哪些呢?
从船厂接船到首航,给我最深刻的印象就是大家每天都很忙碌,在机舱和甲板区域寻找不同的设备,管系,阀门。每天都有安排船厂的技术人员给我们讲解各种设备的操作方法,大家都很用心的去聆听和做笔记,我们随身携带的三宝就是手电筒,笔记本和笔。在不到两个周的时间里大家都熟悉机舱所有重要设备的基本操作,以及机舱所有重要管系和阀门的位置。
您加入哥仑比亚集团的感受如何?
如果没有上海森海提供的工作平台我有可能就没有机会接触到邮轮这个圈子,或许也接触不到哥仑比亚船舶管理集团。哥仑比亚集团和上海森海是优秀的船舶,船员管理公司。他们都拥有自己优秀的管理团队和公司文化,以及世界各大船东代表。他们能给我们提供更多更好的就业机会,所以我选择了他们。
您认为海员所需要具备的个人品质有哪些?
船上的工作环境与陆地上相比,它更加封闭,枯燥,压抑。所以我认为船员一定要性格开朗、乐观、刚强,机智。我们作为船员必须要具备坚定的意志力和健康的心里素质,即便在压力下也能保持思维清晰、行动理智。保持开放、建设性的心态,积极与同事合作,维护良好的人际关系和团队合作精神。在职业生涯中不断提高自己的技能和知识储备。
现在仍有人认为豪华邮轮的高级海员均为非中国籍,对此您有何看法?您有哪些祝福的话想对其他海员说?
现在绝大多数的大型豪华邮轮公司和豪华邮轮造船厂都是欧美国家的,所以邮轮上管理级员工有90%都是欧美籍船员,他们针对亚洲籍船员只提供普通的职务和少量的中高级管理职位。尽管是服务于中国市场,邮轮外籍员工依然随处可见,尤其是管理层(所谓的四大头)基本上都是外国籍船员。其实我们中国船员在工作中是非常努力的,也是非常聪明。我们的高级船员的管理能力以及我们的工作能力和知识储备都是很强大的。现在我们中国籍船员已经得到了世界的认可,我相信不久的将来我们一定会成为世界上最优秀的船舶营运和管理团队。希望我们不忘初心,无惧挑战,勇往直前,平安顺利。

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and Adora Magic City.
I’m 3E of Adora Magic City, Wang Qianquan. I am honored to be working on China's first domestically-built large cruise ship: Adora Magic City. Adora Magic City has a total length of 323.6 meters and 24 floors high, with a total of 2,826 cabins, including 2,125 cabins for passengers and a maximum capacity of 5,246 passengers. The name of the ship reflects its Shanghai manufacturing identity and emphasizes the importance of product design, art design, and experience design for the first domestically-built large cruise ship.
Magic City has 14 restaurants, each with its own unique style and flavors. There are multiple duty-free shops, gyms, chess rooms, theaters, a mini golf course, basketball courts, game rooms, children’s playgrounds, various swimming pools, a spa center, and various other leisure and entertainment facilities, This truly makes Adora Magic City a “five-star hotel at sea.”
2. As a Chinese senior officer, work for China's first domestically-built large cruise Adora Magic City, how are you feeling?
As the first Chinese senior seafarer of the first domestically-built large cruise ship, I feel incredibly honored and proud. First and foremost, I would like to thank Columbia Group & Singhai for providing me with an excellent platform, as well as the support of my colleagues. Although there are only three Chinese and one Swedish Chinese among the 75 seafarers in the engine department, we quickly integrated into this large team through our own efforts and excellent technical skills. I believe that more and more Chinese seafarers will join this big family soon.
3. Tell us about a fond memory on Adora Magic City.
From taking over the ship from the shipyard to the maiden voyage, the most impressive thing for me was how busy everyone was every day, looking for different equipment, pipelines, and valves in the engine room and deck areas. Every day, technical officer from the shipyard would explain the operation methods of various equipment to us, and we would attentively listen and take notes. The three essentials we carried with us were flashlights, notebooks, and pens. In less than two weeks, everyone became familiar with the basic operation of all important equipment in the engine room, as well as the locations of all crucial pipelines and valves.
4. How did it feel to join Columbia Group?
If it weren’t for the platform provided by Singhai, I might not have had the opportunity to get in touch with the cruise ship industry, and perhaps not even the chance to join Columbia Ship Management. Both CSM & Singhai are excellent ship and crew management companies. They both have their own excellent management teams and company cultures, as well as ship owners from worldwide. They can provide seafarers with better job opportunities, so I chose them.
5. What is the most important personality trait for a seafarer to have?
Compared to the land, the working environment on board is more enclosed, dull, and oppressive. Therefore, I believe that seafarers must be cheerful, optimistic, strong, and quick-witted. As seafarers, we must have a firm will and a healthy mental state, so that we can maintain clear thinking and rational actions even under pressure. We should maintain an open and constructive mindset, actively cooperate with colleagues, maintain good interpersonal relationships, and have a spirit of teamwork. We should constantly improve our skills and knowledge reserves in our careers.
6. Some people consider that senior officers on Cruise are always non-Chinese, what do you think and do you have any bless or words to other seafarer?
Since the majority of large luxury cruise companies and shipyards are from European and American countries, 90% of the senior officers on cruise are foreign seafarers, and they only provide junior officers positions and a small number of senior positions for Asian seafarers. Despite serving the Chinese market, foreign seafarers are still everywhere on cruise ships, especially in senior officers. In fact, Chinese seafarers are very hardworking and intelligent in their work. Our senior officers have strong management skills, as well as strong work abilities and knowledge reserves. Chinese seafarers have now gained recognition from the world, and I believe that in the near future, we will become the world’s best ship operation and management team. I hope we will not forget our intention, fear no challenge, and move forward courageously,safe voyage.
