Guangzhou Port added another automobile terminal

Recently, Guangzhou Nansha Port District Haijia Automobile Terminal through the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, Guangzhou Customs, Guangzhou Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, Guangzhou maritime Safety Administration of the joint inspection group acceptance, can be formally approved to open to the public. Haijia Automobile Terminal is the first port opened to outside after the State Council announced the "Overall Plan for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Comprehensive Cooperation in Guangzhou Nansha Facing the World".
 
It is reported that Haijia Automobile Terminal is located in Guangzhou Nansha Port, jointly funded by Guangzhou Port Company Limited and SAIC Anji Logistics, the registered capital is 200 million yuan, the total investment of the project is about 629.8 million yuan, the design of the annual passing capacity of 620,000 commercial vehicles. The length of the shoreline is 459 meters, and the water depth of the front and harbor is -12.5 meters. There is one 50,000 ton class and one 10,000 ton class PCTC berths.
 
The cargo throughput of Guangzhou Port increased from 501 million tons in 2014 to 650 million tons in 2021, ranking fourth in the world; container growth from 16.63 million TEU to 24.47 million TEU, the annual growth of more than 1 million TEU, ranking the fifth in the world. In the 2021 Xinhua-Baltic International Shipping Center Development Index, Guangzhou ranked 13th in the world, up 15 places from 2015. In the "Container Port Performance Index" released by the World Bank Group in 2021, Guangzhou Port ranked fourth, ranking first among the top ten ports in the world in terms of cargo throughput.
 
With the opening of Haijia Automobile Terminal berths, Nansha Automobile Port now has 5 berths open to the public, with an annual passing capacity of over 1.8 million vehicles. Since the official opening of foreign trade routes in 2021, Nansha Automobile Port has exported a total of 88,000 vehicles by the first half of 2022, covering central and North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and other regions.
