Ningbo Zhoushan Port and CMPort announce the important equity cooperation

On the evening of July 13, Ningbo Zhoushan Port and China Merchants Port both issued an announcement, disclosed the important equity cooperation between the two sides.
 
As for China Merchants Port, it is planned to increase the layout of the Yangtze River Delta by introducing strategic investors in the industry. The specific plan is: China Merchants Port plans to privately issue 577 million shares, with a total capital of about 10.9 billion yuan, and the target of the issue is the industrial strategic investor Zhejiang Seaport.
 
Among them, the purchase price of Zhejiang Seaport is 19.31 yuan, the closing price of China Merchants Port that day is 16.85 yuan, a premium of about 15%. After the completion of the fundraising, Zhejiang Seaport will hold 23.08% of the shares in CMPort and will become the latter's second largest shareholder.
 
In terms of Ningbo Port, CMPort will be introduced as a strategic investor to subscribe 3.647 billion shares of non-public development in Ningbo Port. The subscription price is 3.96 yuan per share, the average trading price of A-shares in Ningbo Port in the previous 20 trading days, and the subscription amount is about 14.4 billion yuan. After the subscription is completed, CMPort is expected to add 23.07% of the equity of Ningbo Port, becoming its second largest shareholder.
 
Zhejiang Seaport will be able to make use of the mature experience of the global port layout of CMPort to realize the strategy of "going out" at one stroke; For China Merchants Port, it is to deepen the port layout in the Yangtze River Delta to realize the three core regions of "south (Shenzhen home port, Zhanjiang port), middle (Yangtze River Delta port) and north (Liaoning Port Group)", activate the global port network from point to area, and enhance the overall market competitiveness of port assets.
