According to the data of the Ministry of Transport, in the first quarter, the cargo throughput of China's ports was 3.574 billion dwt, up 18.8% year on year.
Container throughput was 65.82 million TEU, up 19.3% year on year. Among them, the cargo throughput of coastal ports reached 2.372 billion tons, up 14.3% year on year; Container throughput 58.39 million TEU, up 18.3% year on year.

Ningbo Zhoushan Port completed container throughput of 7.69 million TEU, up 25.1% year on year.
In the first quarter, the cargo throughput of the national ports presented a peaceful scene, and the top ten ranking did not change. Among them, Ningbo Zhoushan Port realized the cargo throughput of 293.26 million tons, up 17.1% year on year.
Tangshan Port, ranked third, achieved a cargo throughput of 174.12 million tons, up 22.9% year on year.
Guangzhou Port achieved a cargo throughput of 153.64 million tons, ranking No. 5, only "a punch" from Qingdao Port's 153.75 million dwt.
This year's surge suggests that production at the country's ports is merely returning to pre-epidemic levels.
