China has 7 of the top 10 ports in the world!

During the period of the 13th Five-Year Plan, China's port development has made great progress and its scale ranks first in the world.

So far, the total number of container routes in Beibu Gulf Port has reached 52, including 28 foreign trade routes and 19 routes from ASEAN countries, mainly covering major ports in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia.

During the "13th Five-Year plan" period, Beibu Gulf Port in Guangxi has witnessed the fastest development in five years, with an increase of throughput capacity of more than 80 million tons and an average annual growth of container throughput of more than 29%.

During the period of the 13th Five-Year Plan, the scale of China's ports continues to expand, with 2,530 berths of 10,000-ton class and above in coastal ports.

Among the top 10 ports in terms of cargo throughput and container throughput in the world, Chinese ports account for 7 of them.

In particular, Shanghai Yangshan Deepwater Port Phase IV unmanned container terminal, which was completed and put into operation at the end of 2017, is expected to complete 4.18 million standards in 2020, consolidating Shanghai’s position as the world’s number one port in container cargo handling capacity and accelerating its entry into the world.

Since 2017, SIPG's overall throughput has stepped up to a new level, reaching an annual throughput of more than 40 million.
