On the evening of August 16, Xiamen Port announced that Fujian Port Group was going to be established. Xiamen Port Group was incorporated into the Provincial Port Group as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Provincial Port Group, which means that the port integration will enter the stage of practical operation.
In 2017, the restructured Fujian Provincial Communication Transportation Group said it would accelerate the integration of Fujian ports, starting with the integration of port and waterway companies. It was once thought that this marked the beginning of a consolidation "assembly" at Fujian ports, but there has been no real movement at Fujian ports since then.
From three years of "silent period", Fujian's major port groups, the periphery of the strategic investors intention has gradually become clear.
From another point of view, the port integration of Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Shandong and other coastal provinces has entered the deep water stage, and the port integration progress of Fujian has fallen behind, so it is an inevitable choice to run fast.
