Zhonggu Logistics' first 4,600TEU container ship undocked Xinde Marine News 2022-07-12 14:32

On July 11, the Maritime Day of China, Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding held a undocking ceremony for Zhong Gu Ji Nan, the first 4,600TEU container ship built for Zhonggu Logistics.
 
Designed by SDARI, the vessel has a total length of about 228 meters, a width of 40 meters, a depth of 19.6 meters, a service speed of 15 knots. The series of vessels will mainly serve the north-south line along the domestic coast and are expected to be delivered between 2022 and 2023.
 
The theme of Maritime Day of China 2022 is " Leading the New Trend of Green, Low-Carbon and Smart Navigation ". In order to meet the development requirements, Zhonggu Logistics signed 18 orders for 4,600TEU container ships with domestic shipyards in 2021. In 2022, Zhonggu Logistics will advance the construction of this batch of container ships in an orderly manner to ensure the smooth implementation of fuel economy, safety and environmental protection technical indicators in the construction process, and comprehensively promote the green, low-carbon and intelligent development strategy of Zhonggu Logistics.
 
" Zhong Gu Ji Nan " is the first new ship among 18 new ships. In the future, Zhonggu Logistics will complete the delivery of all 18 new ships by the first half of 2024 according to the pace of one new ship being docked every month, and the delivery ships will be put into domestic and foreign routes.
