Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. , a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), delivered the first 9,000-CEU PCTC "GRANDE TIANJIN" to Italy's Grimaldi Group on August 8.
This remarkable achievement marks the 600th vessel delivered by the shipyard since its first FPSO delivery in 2003. With an impressive average of 27 ships and 4.63 million DWT delivered annually, Shanghai Waigaoqiao continues to set records, showcasing China's growing strength in shipbuilding.
"GRANDE TIANJIN" is equipped with innovative features such as low fuel consumption engines, energy-saving devices, and ammonia fuel-ready certification, highlighting China's commitment to green shipping.
It is also set to embark on its maiden voyage on August 19, carrying the 1 millionth electric vehicle from Chinese EV brand Leap Motor to Europe, underscoring the synergy between China's shipbuilding and new energy industries.
