On September 22, Jiangnan Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, officially delivered "FLANDERS PIONEER", the world's largest dual-fuel VLGC (86,000m3), built for Belgium's EXMAR.

The vessel is 230m in length, 36.6m in width and 22.2m in depth, with a structural draft of 11.8m. There are 4 independent TYPE A tanks and 1 group of Type C tanks on board. The design temperature is -52 degrees, and it can carry propane, butane, propylene, butene, butadiene and dimethyl ether.
In April 2019, Jiangnan Shipyard and EXMAR formally signed a contract for the construction of two 86,000m3 VLGCs, which are scheduled to be delivered in the second and third quarters of 2021 respectively.

On June 23, Jiangnan delivered the first 86,000m3 LPG dual-fuel VLGC to Belgium's EXMAR. This delivery marks another great success for Jiangnan Shipyard and EXMAR after the first ship was delivered.
