1.Yang Ming's plan to expand throughout Asia.
Following Yang Ming's successful recapitalization campaign, in which Yang Ming raised NT$ 10.3 billion (US$ 343.4 million) in public and private offerings, as well as having reported 3rd quarter 2017 profits, the company will embark on plans to expand throughout Asia.
2. China Zhong Gu Logistics Intelligence Platform was awarded with Shanghai’s innovation project to promote modern shipping services.
Recently, Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission released the results of "2017 Shanghai Innovative Project for Promoting Modern Shipping Service Industry". Zhong Gu Logistics Intelligent Platform stood out from numerous projects and was appraised as Shanghai Innovative Project for Promoting Modern Shipping Service Industry.
3. Yang Ming to Launch China-Vietnam Express Service.
Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (Yang Ming) will launch CVX service (China-Vietnam Express) on January 9th, 2018.
The service will be jointly operated by Yang Ming, T.S. Lines LTD. (TSL) and MCC Transport (MCC) with a total of four container vessels of nominal 1000-TEU capacity. Of the four vessels, one will be deployed by Yang Ming and the remaining three by TSL and MCC. The ports of call will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Shanghai. A round trip will take 28 days.
4.After two years, STX (Dalian) was finally put on the auction table again.
In addition to the previous six companies, this auction added another 7 companies, a total of 13 companies which are all subsidiaries of South Korea's STX Group in Dalian. It means that STX Dalian has completely gone bankrupt.
5．An Tong Holdings (600179) announced that its subsidiary An Sheng Shipping intends to invest 784 million yuan to build twelve 640TEU container vessels to further optimize the fleet structure, to better meet customer transport needs and accelerate the company's coordinated operation of water, rail and highway transportation resources to achieve the overall strategic layout of multimodal transport.
