On the morning of November 8, 2024, Huahai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in Pinghu City officially broke ground on its new shipyard project, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the project’s development, construction, supervision, design, and surveying teams, as well as the City’s Port and Navigation Management Service Center.
At the event, Mr. Yu Dongxu, General Manager of Huahai Shipbuilding, highlighted the importance of this project as a response to national industry policies and market demand. The new facility represents Huahai’s entry into a new era of expansion, where increased production capacity, advanced technology, and strengthened market competitiveness will drive future growth. Once complete, the shipyard will significantly enhance Huahai’s annual production capacity and contribute to local economic development.
The construction team, led by Mr. Zhou Jiayue, Deputy General Manager of Zhejiang Zhenyuan Construction Co., Ltd., committed to a high-standard approach, emphasizing safety, quality, and project efficiency. The supervising team, represented by Mr. Jiang Lianping, General Manager of Jiaxing Zhengyu Engineering Management Co., Ltd., pledged to ensure a timely, high-quality build through strict oversight.
In closing remarks, Mr. Zhou Jian, Deputy Director of Pinghu Port and Navigation Management Service Center, praised Huahai’s leadership in China’s shipbuilding industry. He recognized the company’s expertise and innovation as a key contributor to the sector, noting the project as a testament to Mr. Yu Dongxu’s entrepreneurial spirit.
Located in Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province, Huahai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. spans over 12,090 square meters and includes four slipways and a 200-meter dock. The new facility, covering over 20,000 square meters in Pinghu Economic and Technological Development Zone, will expand annual production to 6,200 gross tons. Huahai’s vessels are trusted across China, and this expansion aligns with the company’s mission to support the nation’s water transport infrastructure and fuel industry growth.
