On September 6, CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding, China Shipbuilding Trading and Winning International Group held a signing ceremony for the construction of two 325,000 dwt ore carriers in Singapore.
The two 325,000 dwt ore carriers signed this time are WinningMax ships independently designed by CSDC, a design company affiliated with BSIC. This type of ship is classified into DNV and CCS.
The ship has a total length of 329.99 meters, a molded width of 60.00 meters, and a depth of 30.50 meters, a structural draft of 22.00 meters, and a speed of 13.9 knots, it can meet the requirements of EEDI Phase III.
Compared with traditional capesize ships, the WinningMax ship type can reduce energy consumption per ton of sea by nearly 50%; At the same time, the ship meets the preset requirements for methanol fuel and is equipped with 12,000 m3 methanol fuel storage tanks. In the future, using green methanol can achieve full range "zero carbon" operation.
