On March 31, the 40,000 CBM MGC "MIRAI" built by Jiangnan Shipyard for Japan's KUMIAI was successfully delivered.

This is the first MGC built by Jiangnan Shipyard in China. In addition to loading LPG, it can also transport petrochemical products such as anhydrous ammonia and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM).

Although MGC has a small market, it has been almost monopolized by South Korea's Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. The delivery of "MIRAI" has enabled Jiangnan Shipyard to further improve its type spectrum of LPG carriers, confirming the independent design and construction capabilities of future ships that may become
the backbone of zero carbon energy transportation.

Following the previous batch delivery of the "Panda" series VLGCs, this delivery of 40,000 CBM MGC is a newly independently developed MGC (Panda® 40P), and it is classified into ABS.
