China first time applied pentane as new welding and cutting fuel in shipbuilding

On May 18th, the press conference of industrial application of apply pentane as a new welding and cutting fuel was held in Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited. This achievement is the first time that pentane is successfully used as a new welding and cutting fuel for industrial application in China.
 
Pentane has the characteristics of high calorific value of combustion, safer and more environmental than natural gas and other welding fuels after full combustion. It can also perfectly solve the cutting problem of medium and heavy ship plate and special steel plate in shipbuilding industry.
 
Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited has accepted the largest batch order of 16000 Ultra Large Container Carriers (ULCC) in South China in order to promote the transformation and upgrading of the product structure. The key parts such as deck and hatch coaming of ULCC can be cut in one step by using pentane.
 
This achievement provides a new green fuel for the industrial application of shipbuilding enterprises.
