GSI delivers its fourth 95,000DWT bulk carrier

On November 29, Guangzhou Shipyard International delivered the 95,000DWT ice breaking bulk carrier "NORDIC SIKU" for PANGAEA, marking the successful conclusion of the first ice breaking bulk carrier project built in South China.
 
The project's four vessels were financed by CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company and PANGAEA and designed by SDARI.
 
It has a total length of 229.5 meters, a width of 38 meters, a depth of 21.3 meters, a design draft of 12.3 meters, a service speed of 14.5 knots, and a deadweight of 95,000DWT.
 
The ice-breaking capacity of this type of ship meets the requirements of DNV ICE-1A, and the ship is equipped with environmental protection main engine system to meet the requirements of IMO Tier Ⅲ. EEDI index has reached the leading level of the same type vessels.

"NORDIC SIKU" is also the 32nd new ship funded and completed by CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company in 2021.
 
In 2021, CSSC Shipping plans to take delivery of a record number of 36 new ships, 32 of which have been received so far, and the last four will be received in December, creating a new history in the development of CSSC Shipping.
