On September 15, the LNG-FSRU project converted by Shanghai Huarun Dadong Dockyard for GoIar LNG of Norway was signed and delivered.
This project is undertaken by the shareholder Hudong Zhonghua. HRDD is responsible for the implementation of the first FSRU refit project in China, and it is also the first time for a Chinese enterprise to enter into the world's difficult large-scale LNG offshore equipment refit field.
The successful delivery of "LNG CROATIA" confirmed the strong capabilities of Hudong Zhonghua and Huarun Dadong.
The total period of the LNG-FSRU refit project is 20 months, and the refit period is 6 months. A 140,000 m3 steam turbine powered Mark III thin-film LNG ship "Golar Viking" is converted into a new LNG-FSRU ship.
This is a high-tech project with extremely high difficulty of refitting. It is a special transport equipment. The global industry pays close attention to it, which is called "super engineering in the field of modification".
