McDermott International said that its Chinese joint venture Qingdao McDermott Wuchuan Offshore Engineering has been awarded the Arctic LNG 2 modules fabrication job.
The joint venture has been awarded a contract to provide three modules for the LNG export project led by Russia’s Novatek.
The contact has been characterized by McDermott as large, which can range from $50 to $250 million, although the company has not disclosed the financial details of the deal.
The scope includes the fabrication of three pre-assembled unit complex process modules, McDermott said.
QMW will undertake fabrication engineering, partial procurement, construction and pre-commissioning scope.
Fabrication for the modules is scheduled to commence at the end of 2019 and be completed in mid-2022.
