On 13 April 2019, CIMC Raffles signed an EPC contract for up to four LNG powered MegaRoRo vessels with Wallenius SOL in Stockholm, Sweden.

The vessel concept was developed by Danish Naval Architect Knud E. Hansen(KEH), one of most professional Naval Architects and engineering companies in the industry, and the basic design will be performed by Knud E. Hansen with participation by OEI (Offshore Engineering Institute) of CIMC Raffles and Basstech(Naval Architect and engineering company in Gothenburg, subsidiary of CIMC Group ) both in Europe and Yantai, China. The detailed engineering and shop engineering will be executed by OEI while the production of the vessels will be performed in the shipyard in Yantai, China.
The vessels classifying by Lloyd’s Register will fly Swedish Flag, are charactered as 241.70m long, 35.20m wide with 5,800 lane meters and 20 knots speed, equipped with two Type C LNG tanks.
To be traded in harsh weather environment European waters up to ice thickness 1.0 m, the vessels will meet Finnish-Swedish ice class 1A Super and winterization requirement. And these series vessels are the world biggest LNG powered and world biggest Ice Class RoRo NBs.
