Commenting on his appointment, Guy Platten said: “The importance of energy efficiency technologies in supporting the maritime industry achieve its decarbonisation ambitions cannot be overstated. The best fuel is the fuel not burned. I am delighted to be working with Noah Silberschmidt and the Silverstream Technologies team to focus industry attention on the critical role energy saving technologies will play in the years ahead as we transition to net-zero fuels.”
Noah Silberschmidt, Silverstream Technologies CEO said: Energy efficiency technologies will play a central role in the years ahead as the maritime industry adopts net-zero fuels. All EET options must be explored, understood, and applied to help commercial shipping realise its decarbonisation ambitions. I look forward to working with Guy and I am confident that our collective efforts will ensure that Silverstream is at the forefront of the industry’s daily drive to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
