In December 2018, Shell awarded CIMC Raffles “Safety Recognition Award”, affirming CIMC Raffles' safety management in the keel lay of Penguins FPSO. The successful completion of this milestone marks the entry of the project into the hull erection stage, which is the most critical period for project safety.
Penguins FPSO is cylindrical design with a daily processing capacity of up to 45,000 barrels. It will be the first FPSO that Shell is deploying in the North Sea for nearly 30 years. This FPSO is jointly constructed by COOEC and CIMC Raffles. CIMC Raffles provided technical consultation for hull construction, and twice received the “monthly excellent subcontractor” award from COOEC.
