
Seaspan Corporation (SEASPAN) and Jiangsu Watts Energy & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Watts Energy) are pleased to announce the establishment of WattSpan Maritime Technology Ltd. (WattSpan), a solution provider focused on maritime dual-fuel conversion and maritime decarbonization technology development. WattSpan is jointly owned and operated by SEASPAN and Watts Energy, leveraging the deep experience and best-in-class expertise of both companies.
With its head office in Shanghai, WattSpan will offer integrated dual-fuel conversion solutions and decarbonization engineering services for container vessels owned by SEASPAN, and in the future to global ship owners. WattSpan will integrate solutions from engine makers, design houses, fuel gas system suppliers and shipyards to provide optimal safety, efficiency, aiming to realize CO2 reduction for the vessels.
