
Hong Kong-based Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings Limited has entered a strategic collaboration with CIMC Enric Holdings Limited (3899.HK), a global leader in clean energy equipment and integrated services, to drive green methanol applications, logistics, and bunkering services in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and across Asia. The agreement was formalized at a signing ceremony in Shenzhen on February 26.
Under the partnership, CIMC ENRIC will leverage its expertise in clean energy production and supply chain solutions to provide renewable methanol, while Wah Kwong Maritime will utilize its maritime operational experience to ensure safe fuel delivery and bunkering services.
The two companies plan to collaborate with industry stakeholders to launch a pilot green methanol bunkering project in the GBA, aiming to establish an end-to-end commercial model covering production, storage, transportation, and bunkering.
Hing Chao, Executive Chairman of Wah Kwong Maritime, stated that the partnership reinforces the company’s role as an investor and service provider for renewable fuels, accelerating shipping’s low-carbon transition.
Yang Xiaohu , Executive Director and CEO of CIMC ENRIC, emphasized that the collaboration marks a milestone in integrating green methanol across the industrial chain, aligning with global decarbonization efforts.
