COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers Elected as Chairman Unit of the Pulp Supply Chain Committee of CPICC

From October 11 to 15, the 2021 Shanghai Pulp Week and the 14th China Pulp Industry Development Conference opened in Shanghai. On October 14, the Pulp Supply Chain Committee of China Paper and Pulp Industry Chamber of Commerce (CPICC) was established and COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers was elected as the Chairman Unit.

The sponsoring members of the Pulp Supply Chain Committee consist of representative enterprises in industries covered by the pulp supply chain, including pulping, papermaking, shipping, port, railway, automobile transportation, finance, and logistics information service. The newly established committee is committed to providing professional, efficient, and standard supply chain services for various industries and its members. Taking advantage of its advanced international supply chain operation, the committee will help enterprises boost efficiency and lower costs to enhance their capability and competitiveness to cope with changes in the external environment.

Pulp carriers and the pulp industry chain are included as one of the “dual core services and chains” in the 14th Five-Year Plan of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers. The company has offered pulp shipping service on a multiple of routes, such as East Coast of South America (ECSA) - Far East, Northwest Europe – Far East, Southeast Asia – Far East, and ECSA – Northwest Europe. The company will continue to adopt a customer-centric approach, expand its pulp carrier and public industry chain services, improve its logistics system, and offer services in innovative ways to provide a better logistics experience for global pulp customers.
