Braskem partners with A.P. Moller - Maersk & PSA Corporation Ltd in new Lead Logistics agreement


Braskem inks new Lead Logistics and Hub-in-Transit contract with A.P. Moller – Maersk & PSA Corporation Ltd. Establishing a strategic partnership, the parties highlight their joint commitment to responsible logistics based on continuous supply chain transformation and innovation.
 
Singapore --- Braskem, the largest biopolymers producer in the world, today announced the signing of a logistics agreement with A.P. Moller – Maersk & PSA Corporation Ltd.
 
The two-year partnership covers Lead Logistics and multi-carrier Hub-in-Transit services in the Port of Singapore. Maersk will manage the end-to-end supply chain for Braskem, including full visibility of its shipments, customs house brokerage, carrier bookings. Further, Maersk will be managing other partners in Braskem's supply chain across multiple supply chain modes. 
 
"Considering the complexity in our supply chain, it's important to have a reliable service provider, bringing agile and innovative solutions to us. That is why we have chosen Maersk as our partner", said Roger Marchioni, Director of Braskem Asia. “We can secure the supply chain resilience and steady delivery of our products through the partnership, and this will enable us to strengthen our position in Asia, and to better serve our customers”, he added.
