Cosco takes delivery of 14,500 TEU 'Cosco Shipping Andes' xinde marine news 2018-09-21 14:48


Shanghai-Headquartered Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, a wholly owned subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, has delivered a 14,500-TEU container ship to Cosco Shipping.
 
The ship, named Cosco Shipping Andes, is the final of a series of five 14,500-TEU container ships delivered by Hudong Zhonghua to Cosco Shipping Transportation.
 
The delivery of Cosco Shipping Andes fully satisfies a contract between the two companies signed in 2014 which called for the construction of five 9,400-TEU container ships and 14,500-TEU container ships, reports Baird Maritime of Melbourne.
