On July 16, CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited (HKEX: 3877) announced it has signed shipbuilding contracts with Beihai Shipbuilding and China Shipbuilding Trading for the construction of two 210,400 DWT bulk carriers. The total contract value reaches RMB 1.056 billion (approx. HKD 1.15 billion).

· Each vessel is priced at RMB 528 million
· Scheduled deliveries: December 2027 and March 2028
· Contracts signed via two wholly-owned SPVs: Fortune Propulsion and Fortune Prosperity

As a leasing platform under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), the Hong Kong-listed lessor continues to expand and optimize its fleet amid evolving dry bulk market dynamics.

This move underscores CSSC Shipping’s long-term strategy to strengthen its portfolio with modern, high-capacity tonnage and maintain close alignment with China's leading shipyards.
