OOCL Names its Latest 24,188 TEU Eco-friendly Vessel “OOCL Denmark” OOCL 2024-07-02 09:31


Orient Overseas Container Line Co., Ltd. ("OOCL") today named the company's eleventh 24,188 TEU eco-friendly vessel "OOCL Denmark", which is the last of six vessels in the same series that Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (DACKS) built for OOCL.
 
OOCL invited Dr. Rulin Fuong Tung, wife of Mr. Andy Tung, as the vessel sponsor to name the new vessel, Mr. Andy Tung, Non-Executive Director of Orient Overseas (International) Limited and Managing Partner of QBN Capital as the guest of honor and Mr. Frank Tong, Managing Partner of QBN Capital as the honorable guest of the naming ceremony. The ceremony was successfully completed under the witness of many guests, partners and customers.
 
Mr. Peter Pan, Director and Member of Executive Committee of OOCL, said at the ceremony: “OOCL Denmark will join her sister vessels of the same series in serving OOCL’s Asia to Europe route and continue to bring better and greener services to our customers. In face of the complex and ever-changing operating environment, OOCL will react proactively and swiftly with our advanced and efficient equipment, extensive network coverage and in combination of the spirit of "customer-oriented" and "Take it personally”. Together with our customers and partners, we navigate challenges and create values for each other.”
