The 82,000 dwt Kamsarmax bulk carrier cooperation project is an important carrier for the R&D and shipping application of China's first ship carbon dioxide capture and storage technology equipment implemented by the company in cooperation with CSSC SMDERI.

It aims to promote the low-carbon and zero-carbon transformation of ship power in China's shipping industry as a vision.

The ship design of the project is equipped with MAN-B&W 6G50ME-C9.6 main engine, which meets the requirements of IMO Tier III and EEDI Phase III. This ship type is the fourth-generation DOLPHIN 82 bulk carrier developed and designed by SDARI.

At least one of these ships will be equipped with a CCUS device independently developed by CSSC SMDERI.This will also be the application of China's first CCUS device in the field of new shipbuilding.

The total length of the ship is 229 meters, the molded width is 32.26 meters, the deadweight is 82,000 dwt, and the service speed is 14 knots.

The bulk carrier of the project is expected to be delivered at Jiangsu New Hantong Ship Heavy Industry from the end of 2024 to 2025.
