Chengxi Shipyard delivered one 17000 DWT Asphalt Tanker to KUMIAI CSTC 2023-10-17 13:59

On October 16th, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd.(CSTC) together with Chengxi Shipyard Co. Ltd.( Chengxi Shipyard) delivered one 17000 DWT Asphalt Tanker named “WHITE ALLEGRA” to Kumiai Senpaku Co., Ltd., (KUMIAI) based in Japan. Representatives of CSTC, Chengxi Shipyard and Ship owner signed the delivery documents respectively.


The vessel is the first 17,000 DWT asphalt tanker built for KUMIAI by CSTC/ Chengxi Shipyard. The length overall of the vessel is 160 meters while the breadth moulded is 23.5 meters and the depth moulded is 13.2 meters. The design draft is 8.5 meters and the design speed is 13.5 knots. It was designed by SDARI and built in accordance with the rules and regulation of BV. With three separate liquid cargo tanks, this vessel can transport asphalt with a temperature of up to 200 degrees Celsius or transport refined oil with a flash point greater than 60 degrees Celsius. The vessel can meet requirements of most of the world's asphalt terminals.


CSTC and Chengxi Shipyard cooperated closely with ship-owner during construction and successfully delivered this vessel in an orderly manner. The professional services and efficient feedback of CSTC have won the ship owner’s high appreciation. The smooth delivery of the ship further consolidated and deepened the cooperation and friendship between CSTC/ Chengxi Shipyard and KUMIAI, and also further enhanced CSTC/ Chengxi Shipyard’s influence and strength in the sector of ASPHALT TANKER market.
