On September 14, the construction contract of two 85,000 dwt "whale" bulk carriers signed between Guoneng Yuanhai Shipping and Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding came into effect.
The 85,000 dwt "whale" bulk carrier is the largest bulk carrier independently developed by Guangdong Province, with the characteristics of environmental protection, energy saving.
The ship's EEDI has reached the second phase, which is in line with the latest green environmental protection standards such as 2020 sulphur cap (0.5%S), CLEAN GREEN PASPORT, and relevant classification society regulations.
At present, 2 ships of this type built by Huangpu Wenchong have been delivered. The first ship was delivered on January 10, 2020, and the second ship was delivered on April 13. The construction quality has been recognized by the shipowner.
