China first professional hydrographic survey ship "Haixun 08" was launched Xinde Marine News 2022-07-11 13:26

On July 8th, China first professional hydrographic survey ship “Haixun 08” with deep-sea measurement capabilities was launched at Jiangnan Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of CSSC. After the ship is completed, it will be a new generation of large-scale professional hydrographic surveying ship with the largest scale, the strongest comprehensive capability and the most advanced equipment and facilities in China, and its measurement capability will reach the world's leading level.
 
The hydrographic survey vessel “Hai Xun 08” was designed by 708, a subsidiary of CSSC, and started construction on December 30, 2019. The designed navigation area is an unlimited navigation area, with a total length of 123.6 meters, a width of 21.2 meters, and a depth of 9.3 meters. The displacement is about 7,500 tons, the design speed is 15 knots, the endurance is 18,000 nautical miles, the self-sustaining force is 60 days, and the crew is 100 people. The ship is reinforced with B3-level ice area, has DP2-level dynamic positioning capability, and can navigate safely under level 9 sea conditions, conduct drifting measurement under level 5 sea conditions, and conduct navigation survey operations under level 4 sea conditions.
 
This launch is a landmark node in the construction process of “Hai Xun 08”. Next, various tasks such as equipment installation and commissioning, mooring test, navigation test, sea test of measurement system, and interior engineering will be promoted as planned.It is planned to be delivered to the East China Sea Navigation Support Center of the Ministry of Transport in 2023.
