Shanghai Waigaoqiao delivered a 210,000 DWT Newcastlemax bulk carrier Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-06-10 13:44

On June 10, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding delivered another 210,000 DWT Newcastlemax bulk carrier "Validus Australis" to Japan's Santoku Senpaku.
 
"Validus Australis" is the 8th ship successfully delivered by Waigaoqiao to Santoku Senpaku. It is also the first ship of this batch of 210,000 DWT bulk carriers.
This series of ships has a length of 299.68 meters, a width of 50 meters, a depth of 25.20 meters, a design draft of 16.1 meters, and a design speed of 14.2 knots. It meets TIER III emission standard and the latest HSCR requirements.
 
So far, Waigaoqiao has delivered a total of 10 ships/2.176 million DWT in the first half of the year. Under the situation of significant impact of the epidemic, it has achieved more than half of the ship delivery tasks, more than half of the orders and more than half of the operating revenue ahead of schedule.
