On April 22, China's first self-developed 300TEU container ship "ZHI FEI" was officially delivered and put into operation in Qingdao Port, Shandong. The ship was put into operation by Shandong Port Group on the route from Qingdao Port to Dongjiakou, and it is expected to realize ship-shore collaborative operation between the intelligent ship and unmanned terminal in Qingdao Port.

The operation of the ship marks that China is at the forefront of the research and development of intelligent ship navigation in the world, and will play an important role in promoting the development of China's intelligent ship technology.

"ZHI FEI" was built by Qingdao Shipyard, designed by BESTWAY. The ship's total length is about 110 meters, the width is about 15 meters, the depth is 10 meters, and the design speed is 12 knots. The ship has three driving modes: manual driving, remote control driving and unmanned autonomous sailing.

On April 30, 2021, "ZHI FEI" was launched. Then the maiden voyage was successfully completed on June 29. In September 2021, the intelligent navigation system of "ZHI FEI" began test, and the third-party evaluation was carried out in November. The technical level and evaluation of the intelligent navigation system was completed in March this year.
