Hudong-Zhonghua and Evergreen renew the construction contract of a 24000TEU container ship Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-03-23 16:03

On March 23, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding together with China Shipbuilding Trading and Evergreen Line renewed the construction contract of a 24000TEU ultra large container ship, which is the last one in the "2 + 2 + 1" container ship construction contract between the two sides.
 
So far, in addition to the four 24000TEU ultra large container ships signed with MSC, Hudong-Zhonghua has accumulated 9 orders for the world's largest container ships, ranking first among China's major shipping enterprises, further consolidating Hudong Zhonghua's position as a global super large container ship construction base.
 
The ship has a total length of 399.99 meters, a width of 61.5 meters and a depth of 33.2 meters. It is equipped with a hybrid scrubber and applies the latest global technical design of green environmental protection.
 
Up to now, Hudong-Zhonghua has 19 orders for 24000TEU, 15500TEU, 13000TEU and other ultra large container ships, and has delivered 23 ultra large container ships including 13500TEU, 14500TEU, 15000TEU and 23000TEU, and has become a veritable global leading ultra large full series container ship construction enterprise.
