Hafnia, a product tanker company under BW Group, is expanding its fleet through two joint ventures. The company will receive two new medium-sized tankers and exercise the option contract for two LNG dual-fuel LR2 tankers.

Vista Shipping, a joint venture company established by Hafnia and CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited, announced that two US$59 million LNG dual-fuel LR2 tankers have entered into force and signed a five-year chartering contract with an oil giant. Vista confirmed in October 2020 that it has ordered two LNG-powered LR2 tankers from Guangzhou Shipyard International.

Previously, Hafnia purchased two medium-sized tankers from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard at a price of US$70 million in June last year through a 50% joint venture (Andromeda) established with International Andromeda Shipping. Andromeda has already received a medium-sized tanker, and another new ship is scheduled to be delivered in 2022. Both new ships have signed a five-year contract.

As of the end of the second quarter of this year, Hafnia has a total of 85 self-owned ships and 13 chartered ships.
