Fujian Yonghang Shipping has placed an order at Fujian Lixin Shipyard for the construction of a 22,500 dwt handy bulker.
The vessel is expected to be deployed for domestic shipping operations upon delivery in 2020.
Lixin Shipyard mainly builds fishing vessels and small cargo vessels, and the bulker will be the largest vessel it has ever built.
Yonghang Shipping was established in 2014 and the company currently operates one handy bulker Yong Hang Fu Qiang.
