Jiangsu Rudong LNG terminal receives a 6.5 Mt LNG in 2018 xinde marine news 2019-01-03 14:08


Rudong liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, the first terminal in eastern China's Jiangsu province, received a total 6.5 million tonnes of LNG from domestic and overseas sources as of December 30 noon in 2018, ranking the first among all the 21 operating LNG receiving terminals in China, local media reported.
 
The terminal, which shoulders gas supply to Yangtze River delta region and surrounding areas, supplied 9.2 billion tonnes of LNG during 2018.
 
Since commencing operation in 2011, it has handled 23.55 million tonnes of LNG from 281 vessels and supplied 33.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas to end users through pipeline and tanks.
 
In 2018, the maximum receiving volume of the terminal in a single month reached 800,000 tonnes and maximum pipeline transmission stood at 36 million cubic meters, data showed.
