Naming Ceremony of the New CMES VLCC -‘New Honor’ xinde marine news 2018-12-28 16:17


On 18 December, 2018, the naming ceremony for the 49th VLCC ‘New Honor’ of China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) was held at NACKS. Mr Cao Hong, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CMES, attended the ceremony and named the new ship. Mr Chen Gong, General Manager of Nantong KHI, and Mr Masato Mizuno, General Manager of the Japanese shipping company, attended the ceremony.
 
At the ceremony, Ms Wei Shuchen, Head of the Legal Insurance Department of the Associated Maritime Company (Hong Kong) Limited (AMCL), cut the cord for the new ship. With the accompany by the captain, guests visited the new ship and spoke with the crew. Other participants in the naming ceremony included: Mr Xu Wenyu, Deputy General Manager of NACKS, Mr Zhang Baoliang, Vice President of CMES, Mr Wu Jianyi, Deputy General Manager of AMCL, and representatives from CMES., DNV GL, and the Supervising Department.
