CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, in collaboration with CSSC Trading, has successfully signed a contract with Latsco Shipping, a leading Greek shipping company, for the construction of 2+2 SWAN 1900TEU feeder container ships. This marks a significant milestone as the SWAN series returns to the Greek market after several years, further solidifying Huangpu Wenchong's leadership in the feeder container ship sector.
Latsco Shipping, with a diverse fleet of over 30 vessels, including product tankers, gas carriers, VLCCs, LNG carriers, and bulk carriers, operates across global maritime routes. This collaboration marks Latsco's first partnership with a Chinese shipbuilder, reflecting their confidence in Huangpu Wenchong’s ship design, construction expertise, and top-tier product quality.
The SWAN 1900TEU series has been a star product for Huangpu Wenchong, with 42 vessels ordered and 30 already delivered. Known for its green and intelligent design, the SWAN series optimizes the ship's layout, significantly enhancing cargo capacity and operational efficiency. It's designed for regional operations, meeting the needs of frequent port calls and high turnover rates.
This contract with Latsco Shipping not only highlights the competitiveness of the SWAN 1900TEU in the market but also strengthens Huangpu Wenchong’s position in the small and medium-sized container vessel sector.
