Hebei Honour Ocean Shipping Signs Contract for Two New 82,600 DWT Bulk Carriers! xinde marine news Chen Yang 2024-12-31 10:12


On December 28th, 2024, Hebei Honour Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd. (operating under the brand Ocean Link Shipping) signed a landmark contract with CSSC Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), and CSSC Trading for the construction of two 82,600 DWT bulk carriers.

The signing ceremony in Jiangsu was attended by prominent leaders, including Mr. Han Xinming, Chairman of Jiangsu Wanheng Energy Group, Mr. Yang Yu, General Manager of Ship and Offshore Division I at CSSC Trading, and Mr. Zhou Jianxiang, General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary of CSSC Chengxi, along with other esteemed guests.

This agreement marks a significant milestone, advancing the strong partnership between Hebei Honour Ocean Shipping and CSSC Chengxi. The first vessel is set to be delivered in the second half of 2028, symbolizing the start of a deeper collaboration for future projects.

The contracted vessels are CSSC Chengxi’s second-generation 82,600 DWT bulk carriers, designed for optimal performance and sustainability.

Environmental compliance: Equipped with SCR systems meeting IMO Tier III emission standards and EEDI Phase 3 requirements.
Enhanced capabilities: Cargo hold volume of 97,900 cubic meters, exceeding the capacity of conventional 82,000 DWT bulk carriers by an impressive 876 tons.

Depth: 20.20 meters
Draft: 12.20 meters
Service speed: 14.0 knots
