Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (CIMC SOE) has successfully signed an order with Equatorial Marine Fuel Management Services Pte. Ltd. (EMF) for the construction of a 20,000m³ LNG bunkering and transportation vessel. This milestone demonstrates CIMC SOE’s exceptional expertise and leadership in the global market for small to medium-sized liquefied gas carriers and bunkering vessels.
Headquartered in Singapore, EMF is a prominent marine fuel supplier and operator of a fleet of around 30 tankers. Their operations focus on providing low-carbon and zero-carbon marine fuel alternatives, including LNG, methanol, ammonia, and hydrogen. Notably, EMF was recognized by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) as the largest marine fuel supplier by volume in Singapore in both 2022 and 2023.
The new building is 160 meters in length, 25 meters in width with 15.5 knots speed to meet evolving market demands. The vessel is equipped with the latest WINGD dual-fuel main engine and iCER technology, enabling compliance with IMO Tier III emission standards in both conventional fuel and LNG modes.
This cutting-edge vessel reduces pollutant emissions, methane slip, and greenhouse gas release during operations. Its optimized cargo containment system boasts a lower boil-off rate compared to similar-sized vessels, reducing operational costs and enhancing competitiveness in the market.
