On October 24th, Wuchang Shipbuilding officially commenced construction on a groundbreaking RoRo (Roll-On/Roll-Off) vessel designed for LOUIS DREYFUS ARMATEURS (LDA) Group. This vessel is not only a testament to advanced engineering capabilities but also highlights commitment to green, sustainable shipping solutions.

This new RoRo vessel integrates cutting-edge methanol fuel technology with wind-assisted propulsion, utilizing the world’s largest rotating sails, designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions dramatically. With six chimney-like sails placed at the bow, stern, and cargo sections, this vessel is engineered to optimize transportation efficiency and economic value for customers.

Key Features:
- Dual methanol fuel main and auxiliary engines
- Wind-assisted propulsion with six large rotating sails
- Advanced automation systems, including energy-saving optimization management, energy efficiency monitoring, and gas emission monitoring systems
- Equipped to transport up to 70 forty-foot containers and six single-aisle aircraft components, meeting the highest standards in green and heavy-duty RoRo transport.

With all production design plans and materials already approved, the shipyard now moving into a seamless, phased construction phase. This vessel marks a significant milestone for both CSSC and the global shipping industry in the shift towards sustainable maritime solutions.
