Dalian Shipbuilding and COSCO SHIPPING Energy Sign Contract for Two 175,000 CBM LNG Carriers Xinde Marine News Pang Kai 2024-09-14 17:24

On September 13, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) and COSCO SHIPPING Energy successfully signed a contract for the construction of two 175,000 CBM LNG carriers.

These state-of-the-art LNG carriers were independently developed by DSIC, equipped with GTT’s Mark III Flex cargo containment system with four cargo tanks designed for long-distance LNG transport. The vessels will be powered by two WinGD LNG dual-fuel low-speed main engines integrated with an iCER system, offering exceptional fuel and gas consumption efficiency. Both operational modes meet the IMO’s strictest emission standards.

Four dual-fuel generators, designed to meet varying power load demands across different operational conditions. The latest twin-skeg hull design, optimized high-efficiency propellers, and twisted rudder with a rudder bulb for improved hydrodynamic performance and propulsion safety redundancy. Excellent port compatibility, allowing the vessels to dock at most major LNG terminals worldwide.
