Singfar, a logistic and trading services provider, is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in its mission to revolutionize international trade through sustainability. Singfar has entered into a strategic partnership with New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (“NTS”) for the construction of two LNG Dual Fuel Aframax tankers and separately signed the time-charter contracts with AET.
The contract includes the design and construction of two state-of-the-art LNG Dual Fuel Aframax tankers by NTS, which will be placed on long-term time charters with AET. As pioneers and leaders in sustainable shipping practices, AET's values resonate deeply with Singfar's mission to build a more sustainable future for global trade.
Singfar's work extends beyond that of a traditional tonnage provider, encompassing the development of an innovative logistics and trading platform designed to facilitate sustainable international trade flows.
"These LNG DF Aframaxes signify a significant step forward in our journey towards sustainable global trade," said Pai Hong Yao, CEO of Singfar. "At Singfar, we are not only operating vessels; we want to change the future of maritime and energy transportation through our innovative logistics and trading platform."
With their robust construction and advanced safety measures, these LNG Dual Fuel Aframax tankers with their eco-efficient design will ensure the highest standards of safety, environmental and operational efficiency.
These contracts builds upon Singfar's successful collaboration with NTS, following the delivery of two Suezmax tankers in 2022. Those vessels, operating under time charters to major clients, have set a new standard for reliability and quality in maritime transportation.
"We are proud to collaborate with AET and NTS on this transformative project," added Hong Yao. "Together, we are driving forward the future of sustainable global trade, delivering innovative solutions that prioritize environmental responsibility and operational excellence."
“We are very grateful to Singfar for returning to NTS after two years to order this batch of vessels, and NTS will do everything it can to deliver to Singfar first-class products on time and with high quality.” said Mr. Liu Haijin, CEO of New Times Shipbuilding.
Singfar extends an invitation to stakeholders across the maritime industry to participate in its cutting-edge logistics and trading platform, fostering collaboration and driving sustainable trade practices worldwide.
Construction of the LNG Dual Fuel Aframax tankers is set to commence in 2026, with the first delivery expected in 2027. As a leader in sustainable logistics and trading, Singfar remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering superior vessels and advancing sustainable practices within the maritime industry.
