Foremost Group, a bulk carrier shipowner, is back to the Chinese shipbuilding market after almost five years. It has placed an order at CSSC Chengxi Shipyard for four 82,000 dwt methanol dual-fuel bulk vessels which are expected to be delivered from 2027 to 2028.
CSSC Chengxi Shipyard has also signed a contract with Hong Kong shipowner Comerge Shipping for the construction of two 85,000 dwt methanol dual-fuel bulk vessels early this month. It is the first time for the shipyard to build methanol dual-fuel vessels.
