GSI won 2+2 111,000 dwt LNG dual-fuel LR2 tankers Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2023-06-08 16:41

On the occasion of Nor-Shipping 2023, China Shipbuilding Trading and Guangzhou Shipyard International successfully signed a construction contract with Eastern Pacific Shipping Pte. Ltd. (EPS) in Norway on June 6 for 2+2 111,000 dwt LNG dual-fuel LR2 tankers.

The ship type of this project is independently developed by GSI, with a total length of 250 meters, a molded width of 44 meters, a structural draft of 14.7 meters, and a submerged speed of 14.5 knots. It is equipped with an LNG dual-fuel power system. And emission standards meeting IMO TIER III standards, the EEDI has reached Phase III. And it is a modern green LR2 tanker integrating energy saving, environmental protection and high efficiency.
 
China State Shipbuilding Corporation has delivered the world's first LNG dual-fuel Newcastlemax bulk carrier and the world's first LNG dual-fuel Suezmax tanker to EPS in the past two years. This project will help EPS develop subsequent clean alternative energy ships.
