Hudong-Zhonghua developed the largest LNG bunkering ship in the Yangtze River! Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-07-25 14:55

On July 21, Shanghai Industrial Technology Innovation Conference was successfully held. CSSC Hudong Zhonghua, SMDERI and Shanghai Apollo formed an industrial innovation consortium.
The first platform for the consortium to promote the localization of heavy equipment is the largest LNG bunkering ship sailing on the Yangtze River. The ship is independently developed by Hudong-Zhonghua and has completely independent intellectual property rights.

This innovative ship, which reflects the wisdom of Hudong Zhonghua, is scheduled to be put into operation in 2024. At that time, LNG can be transported from Shanghai to Wuhu, Anhui along the Yangtze River. The strategy of "gasification of the Yangtze River" will take a substantial step.
This self-developed 14,000m³ LNG bunkering ship is expected to have a localization rate of over 80%, and will be the first bunkering ship in the Yangtze River.
