Changhong Shipyard won orders for ten 115,000 dwt LR2 tankers Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2023-06-06 14:58

Recently, Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard signed contracts with Singaporean shipowners and European shipowners for newbuilding of 2 and 4+4 115,000 dwt tankers respectively, setting a record for the largest batch of tanker orders signed at one time this year, and also the first time in Changhong's history to obtain an order for LR2 tankers.

The ship type is a new generation of LR2/Aframax tanker developed by Changhong International and CIMC ORIC based on the latest rules and regulations. The total length of the ship is 249.9 meters, the length between perpendiculars is 245.5 meters, the ship width is 44 meters, the depth is 21.5 meters, the structural draft is 15.2 meters, and the maximum deadweight is 115,000 dwt. It is classified into ABS.
 
In 2023, Changhong Shipyard will continue to make great efforts. Currently, there are 40 orders in hand, and the shipping schedule has been scheduled until 2027. The tanker market as a key product of Changhong in recent years, operators are actively following up the intention of customers,, and new orders are just around the corner.
