On January 4, the 307,000 DWT VLCC "NEW SPLENDOR" built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry for China Merchants Energy Shipping was christened and delivered.
"NEW SPLENDOR" is the final work of the new generation of energy-saving and environment-friendly VLCCs built by DSIC for CMES.
After the delivery of "NEW SPLENDOR", the proportion of energy-saving and environment-friendly VLCCs of CMES will exceed 60%. So far, CMES will have 57 tankers with a total of 16.62 million dwt.
